BREAKING: An officer in the Biology Student Association tells The Vanguard that SGA candidate Zain Husain's claim to be a member in the BSA "is completely false." Three people have contacted us to say he is not a member. We're awaiting comment from Husain.
The official statement from the BSA source:
"In the Vanguard's front page article "Candidates in their own words: Vote for me because..." candidate Zain Husain states his involvement in a number of student organizations, and for at least one of these organizations, the Biology Student Association, his statement is completely false."
We will update as we learn more.
UPDATE 1:41 p.m. Zain Husain's statement:
"I was a member of BSA in my time. Not anymore. But I was. I went to the meetings last year. It is part of an organization that I've been a part of. Not anymore though Never could make the meetings. That's why I couldn't do AED this past year either unfortunately."
