Hello, Mobilians. Here’s the music lowdown: Soul Kitchen is showcasing the wonderful musical stylings of Mat Kearney (you’ve probably heard his music at least once in your life) on Monday night. The doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the show starts at 8:00 p.m. so don’t miss out on this show.
Mat Kearney’s sound is described as rock, but doesn’t really fit into any label. His songs have an indie vibe and the folky arrangements make you feel like he’s singing straight to you.
There’s a pluck to his voice that balances well with the gravelly tone he gets at times. It’s a soothing sound. His newest album, Young Love, is available in stores and for download on iTunes now.
If you don’t have any plans for Monday, I highly recommend your get yourselves down to Soul Kitchen for this show. Advance tickets are $15 and tickets at the door will be $18. Either way, it’s a good price for great live music.
Go to the link to Soul Kitchen to find out more about the show and for more information on Mat Kearney and to find out about his other shows, the link to his website is also provided.
